Brecon and Radnorshire’s conservative team this welcomed a senior member of the cabinet to a leading business in Knighton.
Fay Jones MP, James Evans MP and Cllr Iain Macintosh were this week joined by Conservative Party Co-Chairman The Rt. Hon Amanda Milling MP at Radnor Hills in Knighton, one of Brecon and Radnorshire’s largest employers.
During the visit, the group learned more about the firm’s efforts to cut both plastic and sugar in their manufacturing processes. They also heard more about current challenges in the supply chain, including issues sourcing ingredients and machinery parts from around the world.
Fay Jones MP said: “I was thrilled that the party chairman came back to Brecon and Radnorshire again. It was a pleasure to introduce her to my new colleague – James Evans MS. Having Cllr Iain McIntosh join us was a great opportunity to demonstrate our power as a Conservative team – in Westminster, the Senedd and in Powys County Council.
It was also fantastic to visit Radnor Hills once again. They are one of the largest employers in the constituency and are producing fantastic drinks in a sustainable and rewarding way.
We will carry on as we have started – working together for the betterment of businesses in Brecon and Radnorshire. The importance of businesses like Radnor Hills water cannot be underestimated. Good employers in rural areas need every possible support and we are determined to do everything we can to ensure they can continue the work they do.”
